PROJECT SANA

Project Sana is an initiative launched in 2019 by Enactus Shivaji College aimed at empowering underprivileged women through sustainable and eco-friendly menstrual solutions. The project focuses on producing affordable, biodegradable, and reusable sanitary napkins, thereby promoting menstrual hygiene and reducing plastic waste. By providing these eco-friendly products, Project Sana addresses both environmental concerns and the need for accessible menstrual health products among underprivileged communities

Beyond product creation, Project Sana actively engages in educational campaigns to raise awareness about menstrual hygiene. The team has conducted sessions in various NGOs and government schools, educating women and girls on the importance of menstrual health and proper hygiene practices.

TESTIMONIALS

sana ke kisse profoundly changed my perspective as a young college student by breaking long-held taboos and fostering empathy. Initially, I viewed menstruation as a topic cloaked in discomfort and silence, shaped by societal stigma. But learning about it —its biological, emotional, and cultural dimensions—helped me appreciate it as a natural process central to life.

I always thought Periods were something only girls need to worry about but sana ke kisse showed me why it's important for everyone to understand and support each other, periods should never be a source of fear or shame, and Sana Ke Kisse partnering with pee safe has done a brilliant job of normalizing them through engaging storytelling. The comic seamlessly blends culture, and personal experiences to help young minds navigate this important phase of life, with its interactive and thoughtful approach, it ensures that children feel prepared, not anxious, about menstruation
